What if Disney characters had some LEGO Mechs?

What if Disney and Mechwarrior had a kid? LEGO MOCer Julius von Brunk is here to show us the twisted answer to that question with his "Disney Mech Warriors".

This are not your average Disney toys for children. What we have here today is pure talent and a rich and limitless imagination consummated in all LEGO bricked glory!

Mecha Mouse

"Introducing the latest in Disney technology, an armed bipedal battle unit piloted by the beloved rodent Mickey Mouse! This menacing action pod is highly-articulated and poseable, as well as durable and sturdy with the usage of Technic ball and socket joints. The top canopy easily retracts to allow our little mouse minifigure to climb inside to maintain the controls. The unit's hands contain hinges for allowing the fingers to grip, such as holding weapons and/or enemy minifigs."

"This project was built by me over the course of a few days in late March 2017. The initial brainstorm came about after I constructed a robotic form-fitting suit (like Iron Man's) for the Alice in Wonderland Cheshire Cat minifig. The next logical step was to take the idea further by creating an entire bipedal mecha unit, similar to those in MechWarrior, Gundam, and Star Wars. I ran into no major issues with the construction, except with some obstacles with the design of the big yellow feet. The rest of the project was rather easy and streamlined, with the final step being the transparent bubble canopy."

Cheshire Cat Mech Suit

"Just a quick little project I threw together, inspired by the ‘80s toys Battle Beasts. The Cat’s wonky appearance lack of articulation was due to limitations with rare pink and purple LEGO pieces which I had in short supply, and lacked in specific bricks. This sort of adds to the design scheme, as the real movie Cat had a striped body. The last addition was the giant Gatling gun, which was kind of just built haphazardly before the photo shoot."

Duck Tank

"Behold, a follow-up to my popular Mecha Mouse model from a few months ago! Donald Duck's new mechanized battle vehicle is clearly inspired by the RX-75 Guntank from the 0079 Mobile Suit Gundam series, notably with the dual Gatling gun arms and triangular tank treads."

"This was conceptualized shortly after the creation of Mecha Mouse in spring 2017, but was put on the backburner over the summer. One of the particular major obstacles was obtaining orange tank treads and wheels."

"Unfortunately, the torso and head are unable to rotate, despite early engineering tests. I attempted to use SNOT (studs not on top) inside the torso and bottom units to have Technic friction pins for swiveling movement; I wasn't able to achieve this in time."
